8 OEM Motorcraft Ignition Wires (Side Specific)
16 NGK 6509 Direct OEM Replacement Spark Plugs
8 SPP Lower Ignition Coil Boots (Ignition Coils Available Below, Lower rubber boots are removed from the package by default if you choose to add the coils.)
Maintaining your 6.2 Liter Ford Raptor's ignition system is crucial to achieving the best performance, response and efficiency possible. When doing so, it is a good idea to make sure and replace all sixteen spark plugs, eight wires and at least the lower rubber boots on the ignition coils.
However, to determine whether you need just replacement lower boots on your existing ignition coils or new coils themselves, we recommend that before you order, remove several of your ignition coils, remove the lower boots and inspect the corrosion around the internal resister pellets inside the ignition coils. Many times there will be a ton of corrosion around the pellets and the worse the corrosion, the better chance that the coils themselves are worn out from trying to push the spark signal through all that corrosion. If you inspect inside your coils and find that there isn't much corrosion, then replacing the lower boots with those in our pacakge, will provide the replacement boot, internal spring and resister pellets, just like stock (NGK manufactures Ford coils, while Standard Automotive manufactures the replacement lower boots, we recommend NGK spark plugs over Motorcraft because in our experience, Motorcraft plugs don't stand the test of time like the NGKs).
If you inspect inside your ignition coils and find a lot of corrosion built up around the resister pellets, then we highly recommend that you replace all eight coils for the best results from your ignition service.
It's also a good idea, when servicing your ignition system, to replace the PCV valve in the passenger side valve cover, the purge control valve on the side of the throttle body. Then when performing the service, remove and clean both the MAF sensor and throttle body to make sure they're fresh and clean. With adding those to this package, you are effectively performing a complete top end service for your 6.2L Raptor.
